Perks of Having Twins

 Most people think twins are very adorable which I totally agree with. They are very cute; physically. As a twin parent, I sometimes have to remind myself of the advantages of having twins. Don't judge me, the little monsters are two years. These are the few advantages that twin parents get to enjoy.

1. Two kids in one pregnancy

As one who didn't enjoy pregnancy, I find myself grateful every day for getting two babies at a go. I would have loved to get another baby had I given birth to one baby. I am just glad that nature did me this favor.

2. More to love and love back

There is something special about the twins fighting about who to hug a twin mum or who wants to be picked up. This however is a nightmare when they are infants and don't know the other exists.

3. Enjoying the twin bond

Twins have a very special bond. For identical twins, it might be a bit stronger. Watching the twin bond is very beautiful and it makes any twin mum smile and just be grateful that she got the chance to enjoy that.

4. Going through stages at the same time frame

I found that my set of twins hit their milestones at almost the same time frames. When one was teething, I anticipated the other would soon. It is a challenge to have two cranky babies but at times I feel that it is easier than a parent with a tantrum-throwing toddler and a teething baby.

4. They are each other's companion

If a parent doesn't have any other kids, the twins become friends and the twin mum doesn't always have to be the sole source of entertainment.

Much as I have enjoyed parenting two babies at the same time, I can't come up with any more advantages. Maybe I will add to the list along the way. Did I mention that they are two years?
